Unit Concepts:
This is a most important unit if students are to understand the world in which they live. Regretfully, Development is given short shrift by the AP, thus there is a need to expand the study beyond the confines of the prescribed AP curriculum. In effect, there are two separate issues here: industrialization, and development. They are not synonymous.
